Hey gang. Wanted to give a little update as to what's going on with Trail Freakz. I'm very much invested into the brand but due to an injury suffered in the New Year it's been tough to get out and make content. With that being said I have things coming up. The spice rub and Caesar rimmer is still very much available. I have unfortunately decided to pause on the BBQ sauce for now due to the rising cost of the ingredients to make it. I feel like passing those costs onto the consumer just isn't right. As of right now my main goal is get awesome nature, gear and food related content onto my YouTube Channel and to get rimmer/rub ready to sell at the Farmers market this summer. So there is content coming. Once I get fully healed up I'll be out as much as possible filming stuff. I hope that despite this cold some of you have been able to get out and enjoy nature.

I'm not much for sharing my Christmas gifts on social media. But just had to show off this beautiful Matsato knife and hand carved cutting board my friend Nick got me for Christmas. I've been obsessed with the outdoor cooking videos lately and feel like it's something I want to add to my content in the New Years. I think I have the cold open done for my YouTube Show. Couple of quick tweeks and I'll be putting content on the channel and putting the link here. I'm always wondering where everyone likes to do thier walks in this beautiful city of ours. I'm personally a huge fan of the Kerrywood Nature Center perimeter loop. Nestled around the sanctuary which I refer to as the heart of our city. This easy to do walk provides stunning views of the sanctuary lake and a great chance to do some bird watching or spot some other wildlife. Sounds off in the comments and let me know what your favorite hikes in the city are.

So one of the questions I often get at work is "What do I do with or where should I throw out my old bear spray when I'm done with it?"

Lets start off first by saying that I hope nobody gets into a situation where they need to use bear spray. With that being said the answer is pretty simple. Used or expired bear spray is considered a hazardous material and should be disposed of in the same fashion that we discard any of our outdated or unused home cleaning chemicals. Simply round it up and drop it off at your local hazardous materials drop off. Luckily most cities have a few dedicated locations to dispose of these things so grab the Google machine and find out where your local drop off spot is.

Easy as pie.
