At the Radium library, we love supporting early literacy. We are looking forward to offering a new program dedicated to nurturing reading skills in children ages 6-9.

Where did the summer go!? ☀️

Here is what is coming up this month:
🐑Little Lambs: Back every Thursday at 11:30 AM, starting tomorrow, September 3rd
📖Storytime: Continuing our regular sessions every Wednesday at 11:30 AM.
🍵Wholesome Hobbies: We are back! We will be making felt bookmarks - perfect for the upcoming cosy seasons!
September date: Friday, September 25th. October onwards: Every third Friday of the month.
Spaces for Wholesome Hobbies are limited. Contact the library directly to sign up!

The weather is going to be gorgeous, so we are having our Teddy Bear Picnic outside!

Join us tomorrow at 11:00 am in the field right behind the library. Pack a blanket, grab your favourite stuffed friend, and meet us outside for a beautiful morning of stories, sunshine, snacks and crafty fun.🧸📚🌞

Join us as we celebrate community, reading, and sweet memories. This year’s picnic is held in loving memory of Jane Jones.

Bring a blanket and your favourite teddy bear to enjoy snacks, Storytime, a fun bear hunt, and bubbles!

Did you finish your BC Summer Reading Club reading log this summer? Bring your completed reading logs to the library, pick up your special goody bag and a medal and celebrate your reading success! 🥳 🏅📖 🐟

The goody bags are available to pick up until 29 August.

Join us for the final Summer Reading Club session tomorrow at 2:00 pm as we explore and learn about the open ocean and our beautiful coral reefs. Kids get to make their own little light-up coral reef! 🐡🐠🪸

They also get to pick up their goody bags and official BC Summer Reading Club medals for participating. See you there! 🏅

Join us for a special morning of stories, snacks and smiles at our Teddy Bear Picnic on Wednesday, August 26 at 11:00 am.

This year's picnic is extra meaningful as we gather in loving memory of Jane Jones, whose passion for the Radium Library played a crucial role in growing our library into the wonderful community hub it is today.

Let's honour Jane's legacy with community, laughter and a love for reading. ❤️💐

Here is what you need to know for after August 21st (the last day of our Summer Reading Club programming):

🦀 Kids: Bring in your BC SRC logs to get a goody bag and a medal!
🐙 Teens & Adults: Turn in your Book Bingo sheets to enter our prize draw!

You can hand these in to us at the library up until August 29th!
