One month left!! October 6th is the last day to drop off your squares :)

The Quesnel Library is inviting our community to participate in creating a unique "Wrapped in Comfort Crocheted Quilt" to be auctioned off in the annual Friends of the Quesnel Library silent auction that will take place in November/December 2026.

You are invited to create a 6 x 6 inch crocheted granny square using any colours & pattern you fancy.

To make the quilt easy to put together:
* Squares need to be 6" x 6"
* #4 worsted-weight yarn

Starts: May 6, 2026
Last day to drop of squares at the Quesnel Library: October 6, 2026

Stop in at the Quesnel Library for patterns/books or work on your square on Thursdays from 1 pm - 3 pm during our Crafting Club.

Mark your calendars!! The annual Friends of the Quesnel Library book sale will be held in the Quesnel Library program room in 2 weeks!

👀 New items will be added daily!!

Tuesday, Sept. 15th : 10 am - 7:30 pm
Wednesday, Sept. 16th: 10 am - 7:30 pm
Thursday, Sept. 17th: 10 am - 7:30 pm
Friday, Sept. 18th: 10 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday, Sept. 19th: 10 am - 4:30 pm

~ Books, puzzles, DVDs, and more!
~ Prices by donation
~ All money raised is used for the Quesnel Library

If you have items you'd like to donate, please bring a maximum of 2 bags or small boxes of books at a time to the front desk by Saturday Sept. 12th. The wonderful library ladies will ensure that the items are clean and in good shape before they become someone else's prized possession!

*No encyclopedias, magazines, or Reader's Digest, please! They just don't sell and we have no way to dispose of them 🙂

Join us on August 25th (the last Tuesday of every month) from 6 pm - 7 pm at the Quesnel Library for our Shelf-Indulgence Book Club. This will be a no-pressure book club meet-up where we discuss our current reads and plan our following month's reads. If you are completing our 2026 Reading Challenge, you can choose books from the monthly category to discuss (submit by December 31st for a chance to win an awesome prize!) Everyone is welcome!

It's party time! Join us for face painting, crafting, a scavenger hunt, games, prizes and fun!

Our end of summer party for the Summer Reading Club will take place on Friday, August 21st from 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm for registered participants. The scavenger hunt will take place at 1:30.

Parents and guardians of children ages 3-5 years will need to stay in the library 🙂

If any children are unable to attend, Ms. Katie will leave their program participation prizes at the front desk of the library after the event.

We hope to see you one last time before the summer wraps up!
