Le 1er Mai, le Colonel du Régiment à fait une visite au 1er Bataillon pour assister à la parade, ainsi que les promotion et remises de décorations.

Cpl Labonté
Il a agi titre de conducteur MACK Cargo et de signaleur du pon d'approvisionnement de l'échelon A2 lors de I'XEC MAPLE RESOLVE. Il a démontré un dévouement exemplaire en se portant volontaire pour toutes autres tâches de l'échelon A2 du GT alors qu'il aurait pu profiter de repos. Il a participé à plusieurs reprises à l'évacuation des blessés et des prisonniers de guerre du GT en support au SMC sur l'AXP, à portée main forte au pon de transport lors du réapprovisionnement quotidien (DP) du GT. Il s'est démarqué surtout par son moral et sa communication. Lors des moments plus ardus, son moral et son désir de supporter toutes les entités de l'échelon a eu un impact extrêmement positif sur ses pairs. Le Cpl Labonté a su grandement contribuer au moral des troupes de l'échelon avec sa répartition et son sens de l'humour ce qui a promulgué un esprit cohésif permettant de relever les défis de tout acabit.
Cpl Turcotte
Il s'est démarqué par sa disponibilité et son engagement lorsqu'il a été appelé à remplacer et à assumer le rôle de 2 i/c de détachement, démontrant une grande fiabilité et un sens des responsabilités exemplaire. Il a su travailler au-delà de son champ d'expertise et a dépassé les attentes de ses supérieurs, faisant preuve d'un professionnalisme remarquable. Dans sa fonction de signaleur de peloton, il a rapidement mis en place des systèmes qui lui étaient peu familiers et s'est assuré de leur bon fonctionnement tout au long de l'exercice. Par son initiative, son adaptabilité et son dévouement constant, le cpl Turcotte a contribué de façon significative à l'efficacité du détachement et au succès de la mission. Son rendement et son professionnalisme ont pleinement mérité une reconnaissance particulière

Cpl Labonté
He served as a MACK Cargo driver and as a signaler at the A2 echelon supply bridge during EX MAPLE RESOLVE. He demonstrated exemplary dedication by volunteering for all other tasks within the GT’s A2 echelon, even when he could have taken rest. He repeatedly took part in the evacuation of the GT’s wounded and prisoners of war in support of the SMC on the AXP, and provide assistance at the transport bridge during the daily replenishment (DP) of the GT. He stood out especially for his morale and communication. During more difficult moments, his positive attitude and his desire to support all echelon entities had an extremely positive impact on his peers. Cpl Labonté greatly contributed to the morale of the echelon troops through his presence and sense of humor, fostering a cohesive spirit that enabled them to overcome challenges of all kinds.
Cpl Turcotte
He distinguished himself through his availability and commitment when he was called upon to replace and assume the role of detachment 2IC, demonstrating great reliability and exemplary sense of responsibility. He worked beyond his field of expertise and exceeded his superiors’ expectations, showing remarkable professionalism. In his role as a platoon signaler, he quickly implemented systems that were unfamiliar to him and ensured their proper functioning throughout the exercise. Through his initiative, adaptability, and constant dedication, Cpl Turcotte made a significant contribution to the detachment’s effectiveness and the success of the mission. His performance and professionalism fully deserved special recognition.
