📣 WE’RE HIRING – Jordan’s Principle Group Service Coordinator

Takla Nation is seeking a compassionate, organized and community-focused individual to join our team as a Jordan’s Principle Group Service Coordinator.

This position will support Takla children, youth and families in accessing health, education, social and cultural supports through Jordan’s Principle funding. Jordans-Principle-Group-Service-Coordinator-Posting copy.docx

📍 Location: Takla Landing or Prince George
💼 Position: Full-time, temporary contract (14–16 weeks)
⏰ Hours: 35 hours per week
💰 Wage: $30–$33/hour Jordans-Principle-Group-Service-Coordinator-Posting copy.docx

The successful candidate will work closely with families, professionals and funding partners to coordinate services, prepare group applications and supporting documentation, and help identify and address gaps in supports for First Nations children. https://www.taklafn.ca/job/jordans-principle-group-service-coordinator/

🌿All Takla Elders! 🌿

An Elders Gathering will be held in Prince George from September 22-24, and we would love to see our community represented.

If you are interested in attending, please contact the clinic and have your name added to the list.

Call the clinic before September 15, 2026.
We need to provide attendance numbers to CSFS so they can prepare for the gathering.

Please help us spread the word to Elders who are not on Facebook or who may be away from Takla.

We want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to participate.

Job Readiness Program in Vanderhoof

Looking to build your skills and feel more confident entering the workforce? The Job Readiness Program at CNC Vanderhoof is a no-cost, 7-week program designed to help participants prepare for employment.

Participants will build skills in communication, teamwork, time management, digital and money skills, resume and cover letter writing, and job interviews. The program also includes career exploration, health and wellness activities, Indigenous cultural awareness and opportunities to earn workplace certifications.

📅 September 21 – November 6, 2026
🕘 Monday to Friday | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
📍 CNC Vanderhoof Campus
💰 Training allowance available based on attendance
🍽️ Lunch provided

Eligibility: Indigenous individuals living on reserve, ages 18–64, who are receiving on-reserve income assistance.

Registration is recommended by Friday, September 11, 2026.
