WE FOUND OUR LEAK NORTH!!

If you recall, we have had a leak between the North Pumphouse (RCMP Station) and the White Star Booster Station for a while.

Earlier this week our team completed several elimination tests, and the leak FINALLY surfaced. There was no water pooling in that spot the day before, but it appeared after the testing. Was it all the rain we had? Was it the testing? We aren't sure, but we are happy to have found it!

The repair went flawlessly this morning! Anyone who has been affected by a PDWA has been contacted directly.

CanNorth will be wrapping up the Amphibian Audio Surveying within the next week. To date, they have not yet heard the call of the Northern Leopard Frog. That is good news for the project!

Starting next week, CanNorth will begin the Common Nighthawk Survey. The Common Nighthawk is a threatened species. CanNorth will be setting up 1 hour before sunset, and ending 30 minutes after sunset for observation. They have targeted areas that are the suitable habitat for the Common Nighthawk such as grasslands, and pasture lands.
