The Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit is once again asking the p***c for their assistance in relation to the 2022 homicide of Lawrence Lavallee.

“Today we are asking for the public’s help. We are pleading with anybody who has information, please come forward,” said Lawrence Lavallee’s Mother, Shannon Lavallee.

As we mark this week at the Prince Albert Police Service, we would like to recognize and thank all members of our service who serve with integrity. From frontline officers, specialty units, to each civilian, all of them consistently show their commitment to serving together, enhancing community safety, and strengthening our community.

The Prince Albert Police Service Victim Services Unit is hosting a Missing Persons Week Family Gathering on May 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Plaza 88 – Big Bear Hall.

This event is being held in recognition of Missing Persons Week to honor individuals who are missing and to support the families who continue to seek answers.

The gathering will provide a respectful and supportive environment for families to be acknowledged, connect with others who share similar experiences, and engage with available supports. It reinforces the ongoing commitment of the Prince Albert Police Service to families and to the continued work surrounding missing person’s investigations.

The formal gathering will include:

- Welcome and opening remarks, including a land acknowledgment
- Opening prayer and smudge by Elder Liz
- Opening song by drum group led by Hume Mirasty
- Guest speakers
- Opportunities for connection among families
- A moment of silence to honor those who are missing

An honor table will be displayed as a symbolic space of recognition, featuring photographs of each missing individual. Families will be invited to take these photographs home following the event as a keepsake.
