Buckland Fire and Rescue Buckland Fire Department is a Volunteer Department serving the RM of Buckland.

•Volunteer, co-operative, non-profit, charitable organization
• Partner in North Central Mutual Aid Association
•We have approx. 28 volunteer firefighters are dispatched via Provincial Dispatch and FireQ app. Services Provided:
•Firefighting (Structural, Wildland and Vehicle)
•Vehicle Rescue (Extrication)
•Resources for - Embankment & Water Rescue
•Preparations and resources for - Search & Rescue

and Urban Search & Rescue

Equipment:
• 2 engines, 3 tanker units, 1 semi tanker unit and 2 trailer units
•1 Heavy Rescue Trailers, housing specialized rescue equipment
•2 Units with Highway Rescue Capabilities

On 2026-05-29 at approximately 1622 hrs, Buckland Fire/Rescue was toned out for a Motor Vehicle Collision on Highway # 2 North. Rescue 51S and Engine 51S responded with five Firefighters. On arrival, a vehicle has driven into a slough. PA RCMP were on scene and rescue services were not required and we were released. Crews then cleared the scene and returned to the Fire Station. Thank you to our members for responding.

At approximately 1322 hrs, Buckland Fire/Rescue was toned out for a Stars Landing Zone on Highway # 355 West. Rescue 51S responded with Four Firefighters. On arrival, the helicopter was stood down and a landing zone was not required. Rescue 51 then cleared the scene and returned to the Fire Station. Huge thanks to all our amazing Firefighters who have been very busy responding to calls for assistance and helping since Friday afternoon. We love to help! Incident # 54 year to date.

At approximately 1153 hrs, Buckland Fire/Rescue at the request of the SPSA moved resources to the community of Holbein. Command 51S, Wildland 51S with our Structure Protection Unit Trailer, Tanker 52S and Tanker 53S responded with 8 Firefighters. This was a proactive measure to strategically stage extra resources and equipment in the area if was needed.

Buckland Tanker 53S was tasked with assisting Delta Wildfire with water supply for the sprinkler system that is in place in the community.

At 1553 hrs, Command 51, Wildland 51 and Tanker 52 were released and returned to the Buckland Fire Station.

Tanker 53 is still actively shuttling water to support sprinkler operations and to assist the community.

Buckland Fire/Rescue has been redeployed by the SPSA as a proactive measure to the community of Holbein.

There is NO present fire threat to Holbein.

Buckland Fire/Rescue is assisting the SPSA and working with our neighbour-Shellbrook Fire/Rescue with the Wildfire Emergency in the RM of Shellbrook. Buckland Crews will be doing structure protection and patrolling overnight tonight. Stay safe everyone!
