The Saskatchewan Marshals Service (SMS) and Cumberland House Cree Nation are proud to announce that Cumberland House Cree Nation has signed a Band Council Resolution (BCR), formally inviting the SMS onto their traditional lands. The BCR supports joint efforts between the RCMP, the SMS and the community to address warrant apprehension and public safety priorities.

As a token of this growing partnership, Chief Rene Chaboyer presented the Saskatchewan Marshals Service with our first eagle feather. The eagle holds deep significance within Cree traditions and is regarded with great honour. To receive an eagle feather is a meaningful gesture of trust, respect, and recognition.

We are honoured by this gift and grateful to Chief Rene Chaboyer and Cumberland House Cree Nation for their trust and continued partnership. We will carry this honour with respect as we work together to support safer communities.
