On Monday, May 4, 2026, Council members were proud to attend a cheque presentation from our local legion, alongside Veronica Burchell, President of Fort Wellington Branch 97, The Royal Canadian Legion.

The Prescott Fire Department Ontario, Canada was successful in their 2025 grant application to the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command Charitable Foundation, and a generous donation of $7,000 was used to support the purchase of a set of Edraulic Jaws of Life equipment to further enhance the department’s response capabilities.

We are incredibly grateful for the Legion’s continued generosity and commitment to community safety. Contributions like this help ensure our firefighters have the tools they need to respond effectively when it matters most.

Seymour Recreation Complex (SRC) Park Spaces

We’re excited to share that the following park spaces at the SRC are now open for the season.

✅ Tennis & Pickleball courts
✅ Skate Park
✅ Basketball court
✅ Walking track
✅ Play structure

Please note, grass areas remain closed to support healthy turf growth. We ask everyone to stay off the turf until further notice to help keep the park in great shape for summer.
