On Saturday, Little Barcelona welcomed His Excellency Alfredo Martínez Serrano, Spain’s Ambassador to Canada, as owners Lorna and Marc were presented with the prestigious Restaurants from Spain certification.

This international recognition, granted by the Government of Spain, certifies authentic Spanish restaurants around the world. Little Barcelona is now one of only 10 restaurants in Canada to receive this exclusive award.

Deputy Mayor Lee McConnell and Councillors Tracey Young and Mary Campbell joined MPP Steve Clark and representatives from Augusta Township to welcome the Ambassador to Prescott and celebrate this remarkable achievement.

Located right here in our community, Little Barcelona has become a true destination dining experience, bringing authentic Spanish cuisine, warm hospitality, and a little surprise to Prescott’s food scene.

Congratulations to Lorna, Marc, and the entire Little Barcelona team on this well-earned recognition.

Investment attraction means preparing information, sharing data, promoting local assets, supporting development conversations, and helping connect people with the right contacts.

Strong economic development starts with listening.

In Prescott, business engagement happens through one-on-one conversations, local partnerships, newsletters, business promotion, and events like the Small Business Week Forum, which brings entrepreneurs, business owners, support organizations, and community leaders together to share information and build connections.

These conversations help identify needs, promote available resources, celebrate local success, and strengthen the relationships that support long-term business growth.

Today is McHappy Day at Prescott McDonalds!

Stop by today, Wednesday, May 6, and help support children and families in our region. A portion of proceeds from McHappy Day supports local children’s charities and Ronald McDonald House, helping provide comfort, care, and support to families when they need it most.

Visitors can also take part in the silent auction at Prescott McDonald’s as part of today’s fundraising efforts.

Every meal, every bid, and every visit helps make a difference.
