As you pack up for the season, consider donating your unopened, non-expired food to support the Port Severn/Honey Harbour Food Bank and MacTier Food Bank.

Most-needed items include:

🥫 Canned meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, soups and stews
🍝 Pasta, pasta sauce, rice and side dishes
🥣 Cereal and oatmeal
🥜 Peanut butter and jam
☕ Coffee, tea and hot chocolate
🧻 Toiletries and paper products
🐾 Pet food

Every donation helps stock local shelves and support neighbours throughout our community. Together, we can make a meaningful difference this Thanksgiving! 🧡

🏆 Congratulations to two outstanding members of our Public Works team!

At the AORS Equipment Operators Competition, Jon Smith earned first place, while Mike Douglas secured an impressive third-place finish! Competitors demonstrated their precision, safety knowledge and winter-maintenance skills while navigating a challenging course with snowplow-equipped tandem trucks.

Jon will represent Muskoka at the Provincial Championship in Owen Sound on September 22. Good luck, Jon—we’re proud to cheer you on!

It’s also a day of remembrance for the firefighters who’ve lost their lives in the line of duty.
