JOB OPPORTUNITY - OUTDOOR RINK ATTENDANT
The Town of Port Rexton is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual that can maintain and operate our outdoor rink throughout the winter!
The position is weather-dependent, with work schedules determined by ice conditions, temperatures, and snowfall. Applicants must be available for variable hours (including late nights and early mornings) and short-notice scheduling. The early-season ice-making and build-up phase requires increased labour and attention. Once the rink is fully established, duties transition to routine maintenance and monitoring. Training can be provided.
Responsibilities include:
- Ice flooding and snow clearing
- Opening and closing the rink as required
- Monitoring conditions to ensure safe public use
- General rink upkeep
If interested please contact the Town Council Office via phone, 709-464-2006, or email, [email protected]. We will be accepting applications until 4 p.m. on Friday, January 16th, 2026.
____________________________________________
Our community rink is an asset to Trinity Bight and a great way to spend time outdoors with family. We would like to thank all of the volunteers who have made it a success in previous years. We hope to get it up and running again soon!

Notice
To those who use the garbage box located behind the Fire Hall, please do not put untied bags, wet leaking garbage, or any loose garbage in this container. The mess that has been left in this box which has been put there, not only for the building but for the convenience of people visiting just for weekends or for dropping off recyclables, is just disgusting. These are not kids doing this, they are adults who should know better and if it continues the box will be locked and only available for use by the Fire Hall/Town Hall.
Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated.
