Voice & Choice for BC Families Families and Service Providers have serious concerns about the new service model and funding cuts announced by MCFD.

With a lack of diverse consultation and limited details we must join together and ensure MCFD includes the best interests of all.

FYI - there's a press conference tomorrow about the Hub system, hosted by the Union of BC Indian Chiefs (UBCIC). They have been pretty vocal condemning this Hub proposal, too, especially given MCFD's horrendous treatment of Indigenous Peoples (both historic and ongoing).

They are bringing together a pretty brilliant group of people to discuss shared concerns and it will be livesteamed. Please share it around on social media and tune in if you can - we have to keep the pressure up. Thanks!

Encase you forgot here is a recap on the Current State of BC

- Minimal Ambulances in service with major wait times
- No Family doctors for new residents or ones who have lost theirs to retirement
-ER’s across the Province are being shut down sometimes days at a time.
-Minimum 8 hour waits at the hospitals that are open
-Two Week wait for a Walk in Clinic or Virtual Doctor appointment.…
-The Union that represents Social Workers was just on strike

But you guys can totally handle and implement and staff HUBs across the province In two years…????

And with these stats we are just supposed to trust you….??

Yesterday parents and service providers attended the first Information and Q&A session regarding the new CYSN ( Children and Youth with Special Needs) HUB framework.

All moderators read from a script the entire time.

No questions were answered with any new information whatsoever.

The chat was strictly to the moderators and didn’t allow conversation between attendees.

Participants were asked to summarize in one word how they felt after these sessions, this is their responses in a visual.
