Another wonderful season has come to an end!
Here are our 2025 staff tiles our wall is quickly filling up!!

The Port McNeill Pool staff would like to thank the Town Office and Public Works crew for their hard work and dedication, as well as our amazing patrons for your continued support and kindness. 💙
Although we faced some staffing challenges this season, your smiles and encouragement kept us going!

This is an incredible opportunity for the youth in our area! Thank you Port Hardy Recreation for putting this amazing program together! For all of our kids here in Port McNeill that want to pursue swimming at a higher level, this is the program for you!

Ages 9 – 17

Ready to level up your swimming? This program is perfect for youth who want to:
✅ Build endurance
✅ Develop advanced techniques
✅ Train in a structured, team-based environment

We’ll focus on:
🏅 All 4 strokes
🏅 Starts & turns
🏅 Training sets & race strategies

📆 Program Sessions:

Sept 15 – Oct 22 | Mon & Wed | 3:45 – 5:15 PM (No class Oct 13) | 12 classes / $96

Nov 17 – Dec 17 | Mon & Wed | 3:45 – 5:15 PM | 10 classes / $80

🔔 Registration opens August 25 at 12:00 PM with the release of the Fall Recreation Guide – mark your calendars!

*Registration for swimming lessons and the Youth Master Swim program is only available through the front desk (by email, phone, or in person) to ensure swimmers are placed in the correct levels.

Let’s give a huge round of applause to Ellis, Olivia M., Olivia R., and Morgan on their successful completion of their National Lifeguard Certification!

With their dedication and training, our Lifeguard in Training Program has had successful completion for 4 newly qualified Lifeguards this year, with others well on their way to making it there when they reach the age requirements!

Thank you to the training team for all of your hard work, and to our partners at the Strathcona Regional District - Strathcona Gardens for their continued support and guidance as we added this new program to our pool.

August Schedule
*Please Read

Thank you for your continued patience and support this season. We are currently down to 3 lifeguards and are unable to finalize a singular August schedule. Instead, we’ve split it into two parts.

Please note that our last day of the season will be Saturday, August 23rd.

Aqua Fit Update:
Jessica will be teaching Aqua Fit on Thursday, August 14. Due to popular demand, the remaining classes will continue as self-led sessions instead of being cancelled.

Our last set is now out!

Set 8 is now out and open for registration. Since this set is only a week long, it will cost $20 per set and $20 per private lesson.
