The Friends of the Lakeside Park Carousel - Port Dalhousie are celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year! Come on down to join us for opening day on Saturday, May 18th! All rides are free opening day, courtesy of The Friends of the Carousel. We’ll also have a pop-up workshop so you’re able to see what we do ‘behind the scenes’!!

10:45am Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

11am - 6pm Carousel opens!

11am - 2pm. The Friends’ Pop-Up Workshop

The Friends of the Carousel, a volunteer group, have worked in close conjunction with City of St. Catharines for 25 years as stewards of the restoration, repair and maintenance of the characters and chariots, while the City of St. Catherines provides us a place to work and handles all Carousel operations.

The Lakeside Park Carousel is now CLOSED FOR THE 2025 SEASON. The Carousel will be OPEN on Weekends, beginning May 16, 2026 from 11:00am to 8:00pm
We will be also be OPEN Daily beginning Canada Day Weekend until Labour Day Weekend, from 11:00am to 8:00pm.
We will be also be OPEN on Weekends beginning Labour Day Weekend until Thanksgiving Weekend, from 11:00am to 6:00pm.

Thanks to everyone who visited. We hope you enjoyed the ride.
The Carousel will reopen for the 2024 season on May 18, 2024 at 11:00am.

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at thr Lakeside Park Carousel?

We call it our Workshop Season - October through April/May …. A lot of magic happens here repairing, restoring and maintaining the characters using traditional practices- no-metal, no chemicals!

Woo hoo - Canada Posts' Vintage Carousels Issue is available - and features The Lakeside Park Carousel's Lion as one of fives vintage carousels across Canada.

and to City of St. Catharines who has been working with Canada Post for the past three years to see this come to fruition.

The 2023 Lakeside Park Carousel Season ....

OPENING THIS SATURDAY, MAY 20, 2023 at 11:00am until 8:00pm
All rides will be FREE, courtesy of The Friends of The Carousel.
Sunday May 21, and holiday Monday May 22 hours are also 11-8
Admission will continue to be donation this year and is also continuing to be advertised as 5 cents a ride.
