New before- and after-school childcare spaces are coming to Ucluelet and Port Alberni!

Pacific Rim Schools is receiving provincial funding to create 24 new spaces at Ucluelet Elementary School and 24 new spaces at École Alberni Elementary School, giving more families access to convenient, high-quality child care, in places they already know and trust.

These new spaces are part of a new $5 million child care capital funding program from the BC Ministry of Infrastructure to support renovations and the repurposing of existing space in school buildings to create new child care spaces. Through this program, ~1,200 new spaces will be created in 22 school districts across BC this coming year.

Congrats and thanks to our school district officials and trustees for successfully applying to this new program and helping make a difference for families!
