The Township has adopted a new Community Improvement Plan (CIP) — a program that provides grants to support small businesses, commercial property owners, and community investment.

CIPs can help fund things like building improvements, storefront upgrades, accessibility improvements, energy efficiency projects, and redevelopment.

The Township is now accepting Applications for 2026 – the Application period is open now until July 12, 2026 @ 4:00pm.

The Economic Development Task Force (EDTF) would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who attended our Bi-Annual Business Owners' Workshop. It was wonderful to see so many local business owners come together to share ideas and discuss opportunities to strengthen economic development throughout the Township of North Frontenac.

We are especially grateful to the businesses that took time out of their busy schedules to participate:

Birch Babe
Cloyne Ultramar Gas Station, Mr Sub & Country Style
Glen Haven Resort
Holden's Hearth at Home
Myers Cave Resort
Red Dragon Studio/ Gallery
Riverhill Farm & Fine Food Ltd.
Sherwood Park Campground
Southpaw Carpentry
The Red Barn Zone
Tinker Sister's Workshop
West Palmerston Cottages

Your insights, experiences, and suggestions are invaluable. The EDTF looks forward to reviewing the ideas and recommendations gathered during the workshop at our next meeting on June 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. We will explore which initiatives are feasible and identify priorities to help support local businesses and economic growth over the coming year.

Thank you again for your participation, enthusiasm, and commitment to our community. We look forward to continuing the conversation and working together to build a stronger local economy.
