The Pictou Academy Educational Foundation hosted a fundraising dinner this past weekend, bringing together current and former teachers and principals, students, alumni and community members.

This year Pictou Academy celebrates 210 years of educating and inspiring students. The Pictou Academy Foundation has been supporting that legacy since 1919.

PA alumna and award-winning educator Natalie MacIsaac was the evening’s guest speaker, sharing her experiences as a former student and teacher. Students from Grades 9–12 also attended, with their tickets generously sponsored by Lucas Technology & Analytics.

A special recognition was given to Beth Henderson, who has served on the Foundation Board for an incredible 42 years without missing a meeting. In honour of her dedication, a new award will be presented in her name at the 2027 PA graduation.

It was great evening celebrating PA’s past, present and future.

Pictou, we want to hear from you! 🌊

We heard your input at Tuesday night’s Pictou Council meeting and we want to hear more!

As we get closer to opening our expanded marina on the waterfront, the Town is looking for a new name that feels right for Pictou.

Have an idea? We want to hear it!

Maybe it’s clever. Maybe it’s historic. Maybe it’s something completely unexpected. There are no bad ideas, so put on your thinking cap and drop your suggestions in the comments! 👇

Let’s see what Pictou can come up with!

What should we call our newly expanded marina?
