Top o’ the Morning and a Happy St Patrick’s Day from Albany Retirement Village🍀

Six years ago today as travel and public warnings were issued by health organizations, Albany Retirement Village owners made the difficult decision to close our doors for what we thought might be a few weeks to prevent illness. For six weeks, the owners of Albany looked after not only their residents, but staff and their families by taking care of our needs so we could isolate at home with family and not risk exposure by shopping for groceries or other necessities. PPE, testing and monitoring for illness became a full time job. Residents remained healthy and we did our best to keep things as normal as possible with activities, zoom calls with family and friends and creative engagement with the community.
For almost three years we remained on carefully controlled measures to keep everyone safe, and that we did.
We are truly thankful to our community for the supplies, assistance and goodwill expressed over a challenging few years.
