I’m really honoured and humbled to be acclaimed as Mayor of Petrolia.

I’ve been on Council for the past 16 years, and it’s been great to see how much our community has grown and changed. I’ve met so many wonderful people along the way and had the chance to work with amazing volunteers, staff, residents and Council members.

I know being Mayor is a big responsibility, and I’m really looking forward to taking it on.

For me, it’s about listening to people, working hard for the community and making sure we’re making good, responsible decisions for Petrolia.

I also want to emphasize that I see this as a team effort. I’m looking forward to working collaboratively with Council, hearing different perspectives and building consensus. I’m not interested in pushing a single agenda or using the powers of the Mayor to make decisions on my own. The best results for Petrolia will come from working together, respecting one another and keeping the community’s interests at the centre of our discussions.

There are some exciting opportunities ahead, but we’ll have challenges too. Over the next four years, I want to make sure we manage growth carefully, protect what makes Petrolia such a great place to live and keep residents at the centre of everything we do.

I’m very grateful to the people of Petrolia for putting their trust in me.

After 16 years on Council, I’m excited to take on this next chapter as Mayor. There’s a lot to do, and I’m looking forward to getting started.

First step we have to elect the best council possible. Good luck to all the candidates. I look forward to working with an amazing team!

Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦🍁

It has been an honour to spend today celebrating with so many people throughout Petrolia.

Days like today remind me why I love this community. It’s not just the events, the music, or the celebration its the people. Seeing families making memories, neighbours connecting, volunteers giving their time, and local organizations coming together is what makes Petrolia such a special place to call home.

Petrolia continues to demonstrate that a strong community is built by people who care about one another. That spirit is evident every day, but it truly shines on Canada Day.

Thank you to the many volunteers, organizers, sponsors, staff, and everyone who helped make today’s celebrations possible. Your dedication is what keeps our community thriving.

Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and memorable Canada Day. I’m proud to call Petrolia home and proud to celebrate this great country alongside all of you.

I was honoured today to receive an election sign made by my coworkers son Evan!! It was made from mainly beach glass that he’s collected!! Thanks Evan. You have a real talent!!

I truly appreciate all the comments, phone calls, texts, and messages of support since announcing that I’m running for Mayor of Petrolia.

The response has honestly been overwhelming. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, shared encouragement, and taken the time to stop and talk.

I’m looking forward to many great conversations over the next few months as we talk about the future of our community and what matters to everyone who calls Petrolia home!
