Are you expecting a baby? This three-week series offers expectant parents an opportunity to explore the process of labour and birth and learn the basic how-toโ€™s of breastfeeding.

Comfort in Labour (session 1 and 2): The first two sessions of the series offer expectant parents the opportunity to explore the process of labour and birth. Parents will learn strategies and take away tools to become active participants in their unique labour and birth journey.

Breastfeeding Basics (session 3): This session of the series offers expectant parents an opportunity to learn the basic how-toโ€™s of breastfeeding prior to the birth of their baby. Learn about why and how to breastfeed, and the services available to support you.

The Norwood Families First program is for pregnant and parenting families with children birth- 3 years who are experiencing challenging life circumstances.

This free 6 week program runs from October 27 to December 1st, and supports the health and wellbeing of families by building a support network, encouraging parent-child attachment and learning together through play.

*Give the space to connect with other moms who are looking to find their way through this difficult time

The sessions run weekly from 1-3:30pm on Tuesday's from October 27 - December 15, 2026. The group will meet in-person at Peterborough Child and Family Centres. โฃ

It's September and that means we are shifting from our Summer Schedule ๐ŸŒžto our Fall Schedule ๐Ÿ‚of weekly drop-in programs.

All of our Sites are back up and running, and along with our regular Family Play to Learns, there have been a few adjustments made to the weekly schedule.

NOTABLE CHANGES:
๐Ÿ”นFamily Play to Learn returns to our Apsley Site every Thursday morning
๐Ÿ”นToy and Book Lending Library re-opens Wednesday mornings, 9:30-12:00pm
๐Ÿ”นInfant Play to Learn returns to Mondays at OV, 10:30-1:30pm
๐Ÿ”นEvening Family Play to Learn at Antrim changes to the 1st, 3rd and 5 THURSDAY of every month, 4:30-7:00pm

PCFC programs, services and offices will be closed from Saturday, September 5th - Monday, September 7th for the Labour Day long weekend.

Regular programs and services with resume Tuesday, September 8th.
