Behind every number in our annual report is a child and family who got to feel like their community has their back, and that someone was in their corner.

Maya's family had a hard summer. By August, new school supplies weren't something anyone was thinking about because there was just too much going on.

When she received her backpack (filled with everything she'd need for Grade 2) she asked her mom if she could wear it around the house.

Her mom told us she cried after Maya went to bed. "It was the first time in months that my daughter got to feel like every other kid."
In 2025, 210 children received a fully stocked backpack, ready for the first day of school. And that's just one of the ways your community showed up for kids this year.

What an incredible way to kick off the month!

Our annual Send a Kid to Camp AXE-travaganza was another huge success, raising over $30,000 to help send children involved with the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society to summer camp this year.

This event would not be possible without the amazing support of our community. First and foremost, thank you to everyone who purchased tickets, came out for a night of axe throwing fun, and supported our silent auction. Your support will help create meaningful summer experiences for local children.
