3 RCR is a battalion of light infantry, and part of the 2nd Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (2 CMBG) based out of Garrison Petawawa. The battalion contains expertise in various types of light infantry war-fighting skills, namely airborne operations, airmobile operations, small boat operations and winter warfare.
