Jenn recommends The People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry: “A great feel good romantic comedy about a friendship between polar opposites Poppy and Alex, a bond so special that they will do anything to preserve it. The banter between the characters had me in stitches throughout the book. I hope the movie is just as good!”

Julie recommends S.A. Cosby's All the Sinners Bleed: “The story follows a rural Black sheriff hunting a serial killer while clashing with his town’s long history of racism and secrets. It’s a gritty, fast-paced Southern Noir that’s just as much about social justice as it is about a chilling murder mystery. If you have the chance to listen to the audiobook version, you're in for a treat - Adam Lazarre-White is a brilliant and talented narrator!”

Heidi recommends Crux by Gabriel Tallent: “This coming-of-age novel captures the raw, restless energy of late adolescence with striking clarity. Set against the stark backdrop of the southern Mojave Desert, it follows Dan and Tamma—two high school seniors who couldn’t be more different on the surface. Dan is the polished, high-achieving golden child, while Tamma is sharp-tongued, disaffected, and drifting. Yet it’s precisely this contrast that makes their connection feel so authentic and compelling.. The writing in this book is stunning. I felt transported to the heat and dust of the desert.”

Erika recommends A Sorceress Comes to Call by T. Kingfisher (Available on Libby): “Cordelia has lived under the terrifying control of her sorceress mother her entire life. When they arrive at the home of a kind gentleman and his sister, Cordelia must find a way to save her new friends. A delightful and engaging re-imagining of the Goose Girl.”
