Today, we honour the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, and stand with their families, communities, and loved ones. We remember those who are missing, those who were taken, and those whose voices continue to call for justice.
At Okanagan Inclusion, we are committed to listening, learning, and supporting safer, more inclusive communities for all.

Parenting is a human right.

People with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve the supports they need to raise children in safe, loving, and stable environments.

No family should be separated because of a lack of services. Supports must be accessible, non-discriminatory, culturally safe, and focused on keeping families together, especially for Indigenous parents with disabilities who face compounded barriers.

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, a time to recognize the strengths, contributions, and potential of individuals with developmental disabilities. By learning more about how children grow and develop, we can help create communities where everyone is supported, understood, and included.

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month!

Understanding how children’s brains grow helps us better support their unique developmental needs and create more inclusive environments where every child can thrive.
