Rotary Club of Penticton The Penticton Rotary Club consists of a group of women and men who enjoy meeting weekly for fellowship & support in serving our local and global community.

Like all Rotary Clubs, we belong to an international network of 1.2 million members in over 53,000 clubs in over 200 countries. We have just recently taken on a brand new local project. The Penticton Rotary Club is partnering with School District 67 to create a program focused on enhancing mental wellness amongst youth in the community. The goal of the program is to reduce the stigma attached to mental health issues through open dialogue and community support as well as create resources for youth, parents and teachers to contribute to mental wellness.

Congratulations to the Summerland Rotary Club on the incredible success of Sunday’s Mega Street Market! What a wonderful show of community spirit and support for those affected by the devastating Bald Range Fire.
The Penticton Rotary Club was proud and honoured to be part of the day, serving pancakes and sausages in the morning and burgers and hot dogs in the afternoon, with all funds raised going toward restocking the local food bank shelves.
A special thank you to the Rotary Clubs of Creston and Calgary West for their incredibly generous donations, which helped us purchase the groceries needed for the breakfast and BBQ. Your support made it possible for us to give back in a meaningful way.
Rotary working together — across communities and across clubs — with one shared goal: helping our neighbours when they need it most.

It’s the Summerland Rotary Mega Market Day on Sunday! Members of the Rotary Club of Penticton will be manning the grills all day! Come on down and enjoy pancakes and sausages from 9 am until 11:45 am or stroll through the market in the afternoon and then enjoy a BBQ’d hamburger or hot dog from noon til 3!
Proceeds will go to help restock our local Food bank shelves!

We were honoured to welcome WHL Executive of the Year—and our very own Penticton Vees coach—Fred Harbinson, along with Ticketing Manager Natalee Campbell, to our weekly meeting yesterday.
Fred shared highlights from his career with the Vees, the team’s BCHL success, and their record-breaking first season in the WHL. While many wondered how the Vees would fare against bigger, stronger WHL opponents, under Fred’s leadership they not only held their own—they won the BC Division in year one. An extraordinary feat.
He also spoke to how he connects with and develops these young players. Talented and hard-working as they are, they’re still teenagers who’ve left home and are entrusted to the Vees organization. The team is committed to shaping them into excellent hockey players and well-rounded, responsible young men.
Looking ahead, Fred expects a strong season despite having fewer seasoned 20-year-olds. As for us? We love our Vees—and we trust our coach.😉

Fresh from an extraordinary first WHL season—44 wins, a B.C. Division title, a Canadian Hockey League record for wins by an inaugural franchise, and WHL Executive of the Year honours—Fred will share insights from behind the bench and the front office.

We were honoured to welcome Helena Konanz, MP for Similkameen–South Okanagan–West Kootenay, as our guest speaker this week.
Helena shared her inspiring journey from UCLA championship tennis player and world-ranked professional athlete—including competing at Wimbledon—to serving her community in public office. She spoke about the powerful and lasting impact sport can have on young people.
She also expressed heartfelt concern for those affected by the Summerland wildfire and recognized Rotary Club of Penticton President Harpreet Sidhu for her tireless support of evacuees, even while facing evacuation herself.
We are grateful that all Rotary members displaced by the wildfire have safely returned home.

Relief is beginning to be felt as many Summerland residents receive notice that they can return home. ❤️
Rotary Club of Penticton members have been working alongside JCI Penticton all week at the 24-hour relief tent and the Emergency Support Services Centre, helping evacuees register and access support.
Pancakes and eggs are on the menu this morning at the JCI Penticton 24-hour relief tent beside the Penticton Community Centre. We are especially grateful to our generous donors. With a recent influx of evacuees, we have become one of the few food-service locations available, and your support is helping us serve those who need it most.
Updates on access to Summerland are expected this morning. Please continue to rely on official sources for current information.
