City of Penticton staff monitor the accounts during the regular business hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday and occasionally outside of business hours.

🚧 Heads up: On Thursday, May 7, Westminster Avenue West (eastbound at Highway 97) will be closed for paving after completing utilities upgrades.

Detours will be in place, directing vehicles to use:

➡️ Riverside Drive
➡️ Vees Drive

Drivers are reminded to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and follow posted signage.

As part of Emergency Preparedness Week, the City will be conducting a test of the Penticton Alert (Voyent Alert) emergency notification system.

Date: May 7, 2026.
Time: 3:00 pm.

This will be a test only. No action is required.

The purpose of this test is to ensure our emergency notification system is working properly and to remind residents how important it is to receive timely information during an emergency. Penticton Alert is used to notify subscribers about critical situations such as severe weather, water issues, evacuations, and other public safety concerns. If you are already signed up for Penticton Alert, you may receive a test notification by phone, text message, email, or the mobile app, depending on your preferences.

Residents who are not yet registered are encouraged to sign up to receive emergency and community notifications. Registration is free and only takes a few minutes. To learn more about Penticton Alert or to subscribe, visit: www.penticton.ca/alerts.

The J & C Bottle Depot has reopened at a temporary location for local recycling and is located at: 310 Dawson Avenue.

The depot is accepting the same items as the previous location, and the City encourages residents to bring their household depot materials to the new site — including:

🔷Flexible plastics
🔷Styrofoam
🔷Glass bottles and jars
