REALITY: Not necessarily. If your child doesn't pursue an eligible post-secondary education, there are still options available for the RESP. Depending on the circumstances, contributions can generally be returned to the subscriber, while government grants may need to be returned. There may also be options to transfer certain amounts to another eligible beneficiary or, in some cases, to an RRSP if the requirements are met. The important thing is that you don't simply lose the money you've contributed. There are rules around what happens to the different portions of a RESP, so it's worth understanding your options before making any decisions.

Today we’re saying goodbye to our summer student, Harsh, as he wraps up his time with us.

It has been an absolute pleasure having Harsh in the office this summer. He brought a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic to everything he took on. We truly appreciated the dedication and care he put into his work and the many ways he helped around the office.

We’re always happy to support and encourage young people as they continue their education and begin building their careers, and we’re excited to see where this next chapter takes him.

Harsh, thank you for all your hard work this summer. We’ve loved having you as part of the team and wish you nothing but the best as you continue your education this year!

There’s something pretty special about seeing downtown Pembroke come alive with music, performances, laughter, and people enjoying time together. We were proud to support Ottawa Valley Buskerfest this year and loved seeing so many familiar faces out enjoying the weekend. Thank you to everyone who made it such a great event.
