The "Cuba Under Siege" event in Toronto was an international solidarity forum held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the United Steelworkers Hall. Organized by the Canadian Network on Cuba and the Canadian-Cuban Friendship Association Toronto, the evening featured guest speakers and Q&A sessions focused on resisting the U.S. energy and economic blockade against Cuba and refusing a war on Cuba.

Banco Central de Cuba| "Con fecha 2 de junio se ha recibido comunicación del banco extranjero, procesador de las operaciones que se realizan en utilizando tarjetas VISA y MASTERCARD, de interrumpir su relación con FINCIMEX S.A.

A partir del 6 de junio, fecha en que entra en vigor la medida, Cuba se ve imposibilitada de recibir ingresos como resultado de la comercialización de bienes y servicios por intermedio de tarjetas internacionales de probado alcance tales como VISA y MASTERCARD.

Dicha interrupción se relaciona directamente con la Orden Ejecutiva No. 14404 del 1 de Mayo, emitida por el presidente de los Estados Unidos de América, Donald Trump".

At the closing session of the 12th Biennial Convention of the Canadian Network on Cuba, Samantha Hislop, co-chair of the solidarity organization, presents a Resolution in support of and submits it for debate and approval. In its first point, the Resolution calls to reject military aggression against the Island and to preserve Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace.
