🚀 This week NASA announced the crew members of the Artemis III mission, which will conduct a series of tests in low Earth orbit next year, contributing to the preparation of Artemis IV - the first crewed mission to the lunar South Pole, planned for 2028.
We are especially proud that NASA astronaut of Slovene origin, Randy Bresnik, has been selected to serve as Mission Commander.
Good news is also that the European Space Agency (ESA) will participate in the mission as part of NASA’s Artemis program. Slovenia 🇸🇮 signed the Artemis Accords in April 2024. And after eight years of associate membership, Slovenia also becomes a full member of the European Space Agency (ESA) at the beginning of January 2026, an important milestone that makes our country's businesses even more competitive in the global space industry.
