CMAS is focused on ensuring you get the most out of your mechanical or aerospace degree here at Carleton. We run many events that are each focused on different aspects of the university life: we have academic events like workshops and speakers to help you with your studies and knowledge base; professional events such as our career networking night for our members to get their names out to the indu

stry and snag a nice job; and, of course, we have the fun events, like catapult building, for our members to hang out and just take a break from courses. Becoming a member also entitles you to a variety of office services and discounts on events and merchandise. If we don’t have something you need, be sure to come to one of our weekly meetings and voice your opinion. We’re always happy to hear your thoughts and grow the society to better suit our members.

Each Capstone Project will have a table displaying their project outcomes either digitally and/or physically. The lead engineers for the new 2026-2027 capstone projects will be present to discuss their project concept.

Are you interested in a Private Pilot’s License (PPL)? Or perhaps even your CPL? Either way, join CMAS tomorrow for a panel discussion about how Carleton can work with local flight clubs to promote piloting to students!

Multiple flight clubs will be there including: Select Aviation College, Internatioal Pilot Academy, and the Ottawa Flying Club.

Do you like birds? Well if you answered yes then you should come on the CMAS bird walk March 25th at 8:30am! We will be meeting at the Rainbow crosswalk and walking around the dominion arboretum/fletcher wildlife garden! We will have a few bird experts to help guide us so make sure to BYOB (BRING YOUR OWN BINOCULARS)!!! Hope to see you there!!
