EcoEquitable is a non-profit organization providing a bridge to social and economic integration for people in need, especially immigrant women, while greening the community. EcoEquitable offers intensive a 15-week sewing programs to immigrant women - allowing them to join the Canadian textile industry.

Our beginner sewing classes, open to all levels, are ready to grow your skills this fall.

Available options included:
🪡Wednesdays, September 9 - November 4th from 6PM - 9PM (9 sessions)
🪡Fridays, September 11 - October 30 from 1:30PM - 4:30PM (8 sessions of the weekday afternoon slot you asked for)
🪡Sundays, September 13 - October 4 from 10AM - 1PM (3 sessions)
🪡Mondays, September 21 - November 16 from 6:30PM - 9:30PM (8 sessions)

A special shoutout to our volunteer community as a whole, who have dedicated over 1100 hours to Eco this year alone. For context, we recorded the same number of volunteer hours for ALL of 2025.

We are so grateful, volunteers, for your presence and support be it in the classroom, the boutique or other events💜

Our last weekend fabric sale of the summer is this Saturday, August 22nd at our boutique.

Our special shelf of whole bolts of fabric at reduced prices will be returning, to our PREMIUM ROOM this time around. You can also look forward to premium fabric at $15/m (including lining, mesh, African print + more)
*silk and linen not included

In our sunroom, expect:
📍fill-a-baskets (1 for $20 and 2 for $30)
📍fabric @ $6/m (including knit, polyester, cotton, upholstery+ more)
📍patterns for $1
📍zippers ranging from $1-$3 (depending on length)
📍threads ranging from $1-$3
🪡$1 used threads
🪡$1.5 for new & Gutermann threads
🪡$3 serger threads (or 4 for $10)

Come by between 9:30AM - 12:30PM with your own bags. We hope to see you soon💜

Our runway is coming back to the✨ National Gallery of Canada✨- for a 3rd year in a row!

Each year, our fashion show celebrates the students and alumni of our Sewing for Jobs program. Through this course, our students overcome their barriers and upgrade their skills in sewing and business.

We’re looking for values-aligned sponsors to help make this year’s show even more memorable. Sponsoring EcoEquitable means supporting women’s empowerment, sustainability, and the local creative community.
