The is celebrating 2SLGBTQIA+ Pride Season from June 1 to September 30.

Pride season is a time to embrace inclusivity. When we strive to understand and respect sexual and gender diversity, it helps create a sense of belonging, including in the workplace.

Promoting psychologically healthy workplaces includes promoting awareness of 2SLGBTQIA+ issues in the workplace.

Important initiatives are taking place across the public service to make 2SLGBTQIA+ employees feel safe, valued, and empowered, like:

✅ Offering resources about gender-inclusive writing
✅ Encouraging allyship

May 17th is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, a day to raise awareness of the discrimination and violence that 2SLGBTQIA+ people face every day, all around the world. This year’s theme is “At the Heart of Democracy.”

🎉The is committed to creating workplaces where sexual and gender diversity are not only recognized but celebrated. We support the inclusion of 2SLGBTQIA+ people with initiatives such as the modernized Self-Identification Questionnaire, which permits employees in the core public administration to voluntarily self-identify as belonging to 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. This helps build a richer and more accurate picture of the public service, which continues to be important today and for the future.
