An innovative centre that inspires, educates and nurtures young mothers and their children to utilize their strengths and achieve their goals.

We help young mothers provide a brighter future for themselves and their children.While at our Centre, mothers receive a quality, accredited high school education through the M.F. McHugh Education Centre that features individualized programs, small classes and parenting courses.Youville's dedicated team acts as positive role models for all students. A wide variety of support is provided to encourage young mothers to be independent, contributing members of society.

Executive Director Natasha McBrearty represented Youville Centre today at the 2026 Working on Wellness (WOW) Festival Community Partner Expo, organized by CAPSA.

"The WOW Festival is a high-energy day of action that brings to life what a fully integrated healthcare system can look like—one that gives equal priority to Mental, Physical, and Substance Use Health. Each September, 150+ organizations and more than 2,000 attendees come together to connect with services that support every pathway to wellness.

Youville has been selected as one of the recipient charities for the 2026 Race to End Homelessness, taking place on Sunday, September 27 at Pine View Golf Course (1471 Blair Road)

Members of our staff team and their families have already begun signing up, and we also invite any of our Youville community to join Team Youville as well.

Youville Centre was happy to welcome students back to classes today! Staff have been planning & preparing for the new school year, welcoming new children into the Child Development Program and participating in multiple days of Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) training (pictured). We are looking forward to the 2026-2027 school year, offering our programs and services to young families in the Ottawa community.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
Youville Centre celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 with our Graduation Ceremony, held on June 17. This year's 7 graduates join the 656 Youville graduates that we have already celebrated - each with a different journey to parenthood and unique story of resilience and determination to build a brighter future for themselves and their children.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate this significant achievement with our clients; graduation day is a testament to the unwavering collective support of our dedicated staff, education partners, community partners, generous donors and everyone who believed in these young parents and their children. There is power in community and we are grateful for ours.

This week was a very busy week at the Centre, with many special activities leading up to Mother's Day, and acknowledging Mental Health Week. Not pictured here, but clients also enjoyed ceramic painting, and a crochet workshop thanks to Fil-Anthropy Ottawa.

This Mother's Day we honor all the different forms that nurturing love takes. We know our clients felt love from our community this week, as many of them look forward to celebrating their first Mother's Day with their babies. Thank you for the support, we are truly grateful.
