What an incredible afternoon we had in celebrating the 70th Annual General Meeting of The Good Companions.

Together, we reflected on our history, celebrated our achievements, and looked boldly toward the future. But anniversaries aren't only about looking back. They challenge us to ask: What more can we become?

At TGC, we believe connection is what matters. Not just programs. Not just services. But creating belonging, building relationships, and bringing people together. We can be more than a seniors' centre.

We can be a community connector.

And together, we can imagine an even stronger, more connected future for older adults in Ottawa.

The first 70 years built an extraordinary foundation. Now, let's think big about the next 70.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered, cheered us on, and supported The Good Companions throughout race weekend. Your energy, generosity, and community spirit helped make the day such a success.

Thanks to your support, we raised an incredible $12,861! 🎉

Because of you, we can continue supporting older adults in our community and creating meaningful connections every day.

Heading to Bluesfest this July? Skip the hassle and support a great cause at the same time!

🚶 Only a 5-minute walk to the festival grounds!

⏰ Parking available after 4:00 PM

💙 $25 donation per vehicle, per night (first come, first served)
🎟️ Or purchase a full festival parking pass for $120

Every dollar raised helps support programs and services that keep older adults in our community active, connected, and engaged.

AGM Registration Deadline Extended! 📣

We’ve extended the RSVP deadline for The Good Companions’ 70th Annual General Meeting to Wednesday, June 3, 2026!

If you’re a member, we encourage you to register and join us. The AGM is a great chance to hear about what’s been happening at The Good Companions, celebrate our successes, and learn about what’s ahead for the coming year.

Registering in advance is very important as it helps us plan seating, prepare meeting materials, and ensure we have enough refreshments for everyone attending.

Tickets will be available Monday, June 1 for the Mayor’s Annual Celebration for Seniors happening Wednesday, July 1 at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre!
Come enjoy a delicious breakfast, live entertainment and door prizes.

Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while quantities last, with a limit of two tickets per person. Get your tickets by email at [email protected] or by calling 613-580-2470.

A limited number of VIP tickets will be available to couples celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year.
