BEAST 301 Notice: The map here shows that we have a closed portion of the BEAST 301 between Dobson Lane at McBean Street and Eagleson Rd at Ottawa Street. Riding on these fields is trespassing.
This is because the fields have winter wheat on them.

If this trespassing continues and any of the crop is ruined, we may not be allowed back here in the future.

BEAST 303 Notice:
The BEAST 303 is closed indefinitely, and has been removed from the ITG. Anyone on the lands where the BEAST 303 was is trespassing. Please keep off these lands.

Always refer to the ITG at ofsc.evtrails.com or the Go Snowmobiling App, and please don't ride closed trails or Red(Unavailable) Trails.

BEAST Trails Report - Friday 30 Jan 2026
Groomers are rolling, with some repair challenges on one of our groomers.
This past week we've been able to turn most trails to green (available), and a few remain as yellow(limited availability).
We have three red(unavailable) sections for the following reasons. Unsafe ice in a swamp section on the BEAST 312, insufficient volunteers to sign and picket the BEAST 302, and BEAST 308 past the lookout hasn't been fully inspected.
Going yellow means we have inspected and considered the trail safe for limited use, but it may or may not be groomed yet. Exercise caution.
Bottom line, if a trail is still Red, it's for your own safety. Also, riding on a trail marked as Red on the ITG is considered to be trespassing.
Again, reasons a trail could be Red(unavailable)
- water spots, mud holes, or thin ice on swamps
- closed due to crop rotation (winter wheat)
- trail has not been fully inspected yet
- fallen tree or obstacle on trail
- trail is too rough to be opened before a groomer pass
- lack of volunteers to help reopen a trail
- groomer breakdowns

Always check the ITG at ofsc.evtrails.com or use the GoSnowmobiling App to see which trails are available(Yellow or Green)
Please contact [email protected] for further questions.

Just a reminder that you need to display your 2026 Trail Permit, and you must carry your documents with you for your Trail Permit, Sled Ownership, license, and insurance. And your drivers license. OPP officers are out there on patrol and checking.

Lanark County OPP officers were out patrolling the trails and lakes over the weekend despite the extreme cold. Officers came across a broken-down machine on the trail and stayed with the riders until a new belt arrived.

OPP officers are now out daily on the trails as part of their regular patrols in Lanark County. Please remember to obey all laws and always have all your documents and safety equipment with you.

Friday Trails Report
As per the video from Chris Angell last Friday, groomers are rolling.
This past week we've been able to turn many trails to yellow (limited availability)
Going yellow means we have inspected and considered the trail safe for limited use, but it may or may not be groomed yet. Exercise caution.
If you are wondering why we're keeping some trails marked Red(Unavailable) the reasons can be one of many:
- water spots, mud holes, or thin ice on swamps
- closed due to crop rotation (winter wheat)
- trail has not been fully inspected yet
- fallen tree or obstacle on trail
- trail is too rough(plowed fields or rough ditches) to be opened before a groomer pass
- lack of volunteers to help reopen a trail
- groomer breakdowns

Bottom line, if a trail is still Red, it's for your own safety. Also, riding on a trail marked as Red on the ITG is considered to be trespassing.
Check the ITG at ofsc.evtrails.com or use the Go Snowmobiling App to see which trails are available(Yellow or Green)
