I am writing you to inform you of a change in the delivery of the Ontario Self-Employment Benefit Program (OSEB). As you know, the YMCA-YWCA of the National Capital Region, Y Enterprise Centre, is committed to delivering high quality services, however relies greatly on various levels of funding to operate. The ministry has had to make decisions regarding funding that hav
e resulted in the ministry discontinuing the OSEB program across Ontario effective March 31st, 2016. As current clients enrolled in the Y OSEB program, (Intakes: September 2014, November 2014, January 2015, March 2015) you will not be affected. Funding and program support will continue with access to full program related services. Final application process for June 2015 is currently underway and will represent the last intake for the program. Should you have or receive any inquiries regarding the OSEB program from other areas, please contact the local service providers for more information. As future clients, you can access entrepreneurship support through services funded by the Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure and delivered through the Small Business Enterprise Centres (SBECs). The SBECs offer entrepreneurial tools and support to assist clients to start and grow a business.
