Earth Day reminds us that environmental crises do not stop at borders and neither should our solutions.

From climate change and biodiversity loss to pollution and resource depletion, the challenges facing our planet require stronger international cooperation and long-term thinking.

We believe that protecting future generations means building global systems that prioritize sustainability, accountability, and shared responsibility. A healthier planet depends on collective action today.

This Earth Day let’s continue advocating for a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world for all.

March 25th is the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
Today, we honour the millions of lives stolen through the transatlantic slave trade and recognize that its legacy still shapes injustice and inequality today.

Remembrance is a shared responsibility. It allows us to confront the past with truth and to challenge modern day injustices.

Let us strive to build a future grounded in dignity, equality, and human rights for all.
A just world is not inherited, it is created.

On March 8, we honour the leadership, resilience, and transformative power of women and girls worldwide.💜

Gender equality is not a side issue it is central to peace, justice, and sustainable development. Where women participate fully in decision making, societies are more stable, economies are stronger, and peace agreements are more durable.

Yet barriers persist. Violence, discrimination, unequal representation, and systemic exclusion continue to limit the realization of rights long recognized under international law.

Advancing women’s rights requires more than recognition. It demands structural change from strengthening legal protections and accountability mechanisms, to ensuring meaningful representation at every level of governance, including global institutions.

A just world cannot exist without gender equality.

On International Women’s Day, we reaffirm our commitment to a future where the rights, voices, and leadership of women and girls are not the exception but the norm.

On March 5, we recognize the urgent need to advance disarmament and prevent the spread of weapons that threaten humanity’s survival.

In an era of renewed geopolitical tension and rising military expenditure, the risks posed by nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction remain alarmingly real. True security cannot be built on deterrence alone. It must be grounded in international law, transparency, cooperation, and trust.

Disarmament is not idealism. It is responsible global governance.

Strengthening multilateral agreements, reinforcing non-proliferation regimes, and revitalizing diplomacy are essential steps toward a more peaceful and secure world. We owe this commitment to present and future generations.

A safer world is possible but only if we choose cooperation over escalation.

On March 1, we marked Zero Discrimination Day a reminder that equality and human dignity must be protected everywhere.

Discrimination undermines peace, weakens democracy, and erodes the rule of law. A just and sustainable world cannot be built on exclusion.

For world federalists, this day reinforces a simple truth: human rights are universal. They must be upheld through strong institutions, international law, and collective action.

Equality is not optional.
It is foundational to global peace.

Violent extremism does not appear overnight. It grows where injustice, exclusion and disinformation are allowed to take root.

Preventing violence means addressing its causes before harm occurs. It means protecting human rights, strengthening education, fostering inclusion and ensuring accountable governance. It means choosing dialogue over division, dignity over fear and cooperation over isolation.

Real security is built by investing in people and institutions that uphold justice and the rule of law, locally, nationally and globally.

Peace is not passive.
Prevention is a shared responsibility.

Today we honor the International Day of Human Fraternity.

A reminder that beyond borders, beliefs, and identities, our shared humanity is what binds us.
Peace is not built through division, but through dialogue, dignity, and solidarity.

In a world facing conflict, inequality, and climate crisis, fraternity is not an abstract ideal it is a responsibility. One that calls us to listen, to care, and to act together for a just and peaceful future.

Human fraternity is the foundation of global cooperation and lasting peace.

International Day of Clean Energy

Clean energy is not only an environmental imperative. It is a matter of global justice, peace, and intergenerational responsibility.

A transition to clean energy reduces conflict over scarce resources, strengthens human security, and helps safeguard the rights of future generations. Clean energy is essential to meeting the Sustainable Development Goals and to building a more resilient and cooperative multilateral system.

Today we reaffirm that access to clean, affordable, and sustainable energy must be treated as a global public good. Achieving it requires international cooperation, strong global governance, and leadership that places people and planet before short-term interests.

The energy choices we make today shape the world we leave behind.

As we enter a new year, the world faces profound challenges, from conflict and displacement to climate crisis, inequality, and the erosion of trust in global institutions. Yet history reminds us that moments of uncertainty are also moments of possibility.

The year ahead calls for renewed commitment to international cooperation, the rule of law, and shared responsibility beyond borders. It calls for strengthening the institutions meant to protect human dignity, prevent war, and ensure that future generations inherit a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world.

World Federalist Movement – Canada remains committed to advancing democratic global governance and to the belief that global problems require global solutions. Progress is not inevitable. It is built through collective action, informed advocacy, and the courage to imagine a better international order.

As we move forward into this new year, we invite you to stay engaged, to stay informed, and to continue standing for peace, justice, and global solidarity.

Happy New Year.✨

International Migrants Day🌎

Today we recognize the courage, resilience, and dignity of migrants around the world. Migration is not a crisis to be feared, but a human reality shaped by conflict, inequality, climate change, and the search for safety and opportunity.
On International Migrants Day, we reaffirm that the rights and humanity of migrants must be protected everywhere. A just and peaceful world depends on global cooperation, inclusive governance, and policies rooted in solidarity rather than exclusion.

Migrants are part of our shared future. Protecting their rights strengthens us all.

🌐 Human Rights Day 🌐
Every December 10th, we reaffirm a simple truth: human rights are universal, indivisible, and non-negotiable.

At WFM-Canada, we work toward a world where global governance protects the dignity of every person across borders, cultures, and generations. From strengthening international law to advancing democratic multilateralism, our movement is rooted in the belief that peace and justice must be built together.

Today, we honour human rights defenders around the world and recognize the urgent need to uphold these principles in the face of conflict, inequality, and rising authoritarianism.

Human Rights Day is not only a commemoration, it is a call to action.

Join us as we continue working for a world where every voice counts, every life is valued, and every right is protected. ✊🌍
