Ottawa Police Service - Service de police d'Ottawa, the Ottawa Dive, Rescue and Trails Unit, Ottawa Fire Services - Service des incendies d'Ottawa, Ottawa Paramedic Service - Service paramédic d'Ottawa, Ottawa Drowning Prevention Coalition and OPH came together at Britannia Beach yesterday for a community drowning prevention event focused on safety, awareness, and practical tips for residents.

During his remarks, Dr. Trevor Arnason highlighted why this work is so important: “Drowning remains a significant public health concern because it happens quickly, quietly, and affects people of all ages.”

Thank you to all partners who helped make this event possible. Water safety is everyone’s responsibility and essential to ensure a safe experience.
