Sexual Assault Support Centre Ottawa

Sexual Assault Support Centre Ottawa The Sexual Assault Support Centre (SASC) is a non-profit charity and community based organization established in 1983.

Our purpose is to provide survivor directed support services by women, to women, who have experienced sexual violence. We strive to increase public awareness and offer training on the issues and effects of violence against women. We also engage in action to pressure for change in the structures and systems that contribute to the practice, maintenance, and tolerance of violence, oppression, discrim

ination and exploitation. Our work is informed by the principles of a feminist, anti-oppression framework, and our vision is a society free of all forms of violence.

Self-Care Kits — Summer 2026 ☀️

A heartfelt thank you to the community members and organizations who continue to hold space for us and help create opportunities for our self-care kits to connect with folks in our community.

These kits are shared with young women and women in our community as a reminder that support is built together through care, connection, and knowing that you are never alone.

As we prepare for our up coming Self-Care Kits, we welcome donations of menstrual products and other personal hygiene items to help us continue this work.

If you would like to support the initiative, please email [email protected].

Thank you for helping us care for and support our community.

On September 17, we march through downtown Ottawa to Take Back the Night: standing with survivors and demanding a future free from sexual and gender-based violence.

If this is your first TBTN march — or if you are one of the women, gender-diverse people or supporters who have taken to the streets with us before — there is a place for you here.

Save the date. Speak up. Join us.
Let’s take back the night, Ottawa.

📍Thursday, Sept. 17, 6:00 p.m.
Minto Park (102 Lewis Street).

Additional details will be shared in the coming weeks.

📍 Parc Minto (102, rue Lewis, Ottawa)

Les détails suivront dans les prochaines semaines.

Every day is Pride celebrating love, identity, and community. 💜

At the same time, these statistics remind us that gender-based violence impacts women across communities, with even higher rates for 2SLGBTQ+, Indigenous, and marginalized groups.

Beyond Pride Month, the work continues toward safety, equity, and support for all.
