June 5 | HIV Long‑Term Survivors Awareness Day (HLTSAD) ❤️
Today we honour the resilience, strength, and wisdom of people who have been living with HIV for 10+ years—especially those diagnosed before the advent of effective treatment.
Long‑term survivors have endured loss, stigma, medical uncertainty, and systemic barriers, yet continue to lead, advocate, and care for their communities. Their lived experiences paved the way for progress in HIV treatment, prevention, and rights.
Today, and every day, we say thank you.We remember those we’ve lost, uplift those still with us, and commit to supporting long‑term survivors with dignity, care, and respect. 🕯️
