Изложба „Светиње роду у Канади“ представљена у Торонту, Отави и Монтреалу
Изложба „Светиње роду у Канади“, аутора српског фотографа Миодрага Мише Бранковића, представљена је од 3. до 6. септембра 2026. године српској заједници и канадској публици у Торонту, Отави и Монтреалу. Изложба, реализована под покровитељством Амбасаде Републике Србије у Канади, уз подршку компаније Move Global / Телеком Србија, отворена је 3. септембра у Serbian Heritage Academy of Canada у Торонту, 5. септембра представљена је у Отави у оквиру 19. Српског фестивала, док је 6. септембра представљена у Цркви Свете Тројице у Монтреалу.Пројекат представљања великих српских светиња кроз објектив фотографа Мише Бранковића инспирисан је потребом додатног духовног и културног повезивања српског народа у расејању са матицом и светињама које представљају корене српске духовности, историје и културног идентитета.
Поставка, коју чини 15 уникатних фотографија, публици у три канадска града представила је део богатог духовног и културног наслеђа српског народа из јединствене уметничке перспективе аутора. Лично присуство Мише Бранковића омогућило је посетиоцима да се непосредније упознају са светињама и местима које је забележио, као и са причама и инспирацијом које стоје иза изложених фотографија. На отварању изложбе у Отави, у оквиру 19. Српског фестивала, амбасадор Републике Србије у Канади Стефан Томашевић истакао је значај оваквих културних пројеката за очување и јачање духовности, културног идентитета и свести о припадности српском народу међу нашим сународницима у Канади. Tом приликом, амбасадор Томашевић посебно је указао на потребу сталног јачања јединства српског народа, као и на значај даљег повезивања матице и дијаспоре. Истакао је да културни пројекти попут изложбе „Светиње роду у Канади“ имају важну улогу у том процесу, доприносећи очувању духовних и културних веза српског народа у расејању са матицом.
Представљање изложбе „Светиње роду у Канади“ у Торонту, Отави и Монтреалу пружило је прилику да се кроз уметничку фотографију публици приближе нека од најзначајнијих места српске духовне и културне баштине.
“Sacred Heritage for Serbs in Canada” Exhibition Presented in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal
The exhibition “Sacred Heritage for Serbs in Canada,” by Serbian photographer Miodrag Miša Branković, was presented to the Serbian community and Canadian public in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal from September 3 to 6, 2026. Organized under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Canada, with the support of Move Global / Telekom Srbija, the exhibition opened on September 3 at the Serbian Heritage Academy of Canada in Toronto. It was presented in Ottawa on September 5 as part of the 19th Serbian Festival, and on September 6 at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Montreal. The project, which presents some of Serbia’s most important holy sites through the lens of photographer Miša Branković, was inspired by the desire to further strengthen the spiritual and cultural ties between Serbs living abroad and their homeland, as well as their connection with the sacred sites that lie at the roots of Serbian spirituality, history and cultural identity.
The exhibition, comprising 15 unique photographs, offered audiences in the three Canadian cities an opportunity to discover part of the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the Serbian people through the author’s distinctive artistic perspective. Miša Branković’s presence at the exhibitions also gave visitors an opportunity to learn more about the holy sites and places he photographed, as well as the stories and inspiration behind the images. At the opening of the exhibition in Ottawa, held as part of the 19th Serbian Festival, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Canada Stefan Tomašević emphasized the importance of cultural projects of this kind in preserving and strengthening spirituality, cultural identity and a sense of belonging to the Serbian people among Serbs living in Canada. On this occasion, Ambassador Tomašević particularly emphasized the need to continuously strengthen the unity of the Serbian people, as well as the importance of fostering closer ties between the homeland and the diaspora. He noted that cultural projects such as “Sacred Heritage for Serbs in Canada” play an important role in this process by helping preserve the spiritual and cultural bonds between Serbs living abroad and their homeland. The presentation of “Sacred Heritage for Serbs in Canada” in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal provided an opportunity to bring some of the most significant sites of Serbian spiritual and cultural heritage closer to audiences in Canada through the art of photography.
