National President of UNE/ Présidente Nationale du SEN

National President of UNE/ Présidente Nationale du SEN here for the members/ ici pour les membres She was increasingly called upon by members. She then set her gaze on supporting her union family.

As a single parent, she is most proud of her 22-year-old son Kael, a budding activist studying Law, and her 26-year-old daughter Kyrro, a scientist on the Autism spectrum. May 2024, she made a bid for PSAC National President under the platform of change, strong negotiation language in collective agreements, transparency and accountability to members and refused to make deals for votes as she belie

ves in one vote per delegate in the interest of the members they were sent to represent and vote in good conscious. In August 2023, she became the President of the Union of National Employees with over 27,000 members coast to coast and 80 collective agreements. As she continued applying her previously gained leadership skills, she was elected Vice President and Shop Steward of Local 70501 in the National Capital Region and Co-Chair of the Bylaws and Constitution Committee 2023

In August 2020, she joined the Federal Black Employee Caucus and quickly became the Ontario region representative (outside of the National Capital Region), followed by a Lead role in May 2022. Quickly, she was known for her tenacity and was elected a UNE 2SLGBTQ2+ Human Rights Delegate in 2022. Elected to the Collective Agreement Negotiation Team of her employer in 2021 as a virtually unknown activist in the union sphere. Since 2008, she’s published over 24 works of fiction. Fluent in French and English, Alisha Campbell was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and raised in Sherbrook, Quebec, she later moved out west to Richmond, British Columbia, to live from the east to the west coast. She volunteers for causes close to her heart, devoting countless hours to the issue of inclusion, working as an elected executive member since 2007 on the Committee for Equitable Access and Participation (CEAP), of which she became President in 2009 to complete her mandates in 2018. She has been fighting for all our inclusion in the workplace, in our communities, and across the country, and to effect eventual changes in Canadian history. After a brief career in the private sector, she joined the Public Service in 2003 at the Fortress of Louisbourg, a Parks Canada site in Nova Scotia. She also worked at a Crown Corporation, the Canadian Museum of History, in Ottawa, Ontario.
