Each candidate running in the upcoming Osoyoos election for Mayor, Councillors and Water Councillors has provided the Town with a picture of themselves and (up to) 150-words about themselves and their views on community matters. The Town has used the information to produce a Voter’s Guide to the Candidates.

The Guide is now available online for viewing and printing, if desired. Note that the order the candidates appear in the guide is the same as the order as they will appear on the ballot, which was drawn by lot.

The Town encourages all voters to get to know their candidates and plan to vote on October 7, 10 or 17 at Sonora Community Centre!

The Town of Osoyoos is seeking a Community Programmer to join our Community Services Department.

This position supports community programming, facility and field bookings, special events, environmental initiatives, volunteer coordination, and community promotions. The role also works closely with local organizations, schools, user groups and the public to help coordinate programs and services throughout the community.

📍 Full-time, Unionized Position
💲$31.46/hour plus a generous benefits package

The Town of Osoyoos is developing a Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan (CWRP) to help guide the Town’s FireSmart program and future wildfire management strategies. The plan is being led by Osoyoos Fire Rescue with support from professional consultants.

Residents are invited to complete a short online survey about the impacts of wildfire in our community and priorities for wildfire management.

To date, no nominations have been received for the elected positions of WATER COUNCILLOR in the Osoyoos general local election.

Water Councillors must reside on a property served by Osoyoos water systems 8 or 9, in the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen Area A. Water Councillors represent the interests of water customers in system 8 and 9 at the Osoyoos Council meetings, and vote on water matters pertaining to those water system areas.

Persons interested in being nominated for the elected position of Water Councillor may pick up nomination packages online at osoyoos.ca or at the municipal office, 8707 Main Street, Osoyoos, BC between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Nomination documents must be submitted to the Chief Election Officer by Friday, September 11, 2026 at 4:00 pm.
