My Sunday afternoon read - The Life Cycle of the Common Octopus by Emma Knight. 🐙📖 The cover of this one certainly drew me to it immediately, and I was really happy when it was one of our selections for 2026! I’ve got several hours kid-free this afternoon and am looking forward to diving in deep.

Swung by the Orléans branch of the Ottawa Public Library / Bibliothèque publique d'Ottawa today and scored this sweet stack of used books in gorgeous condition for just $27! 🙌 Our has been running low of contemporary fiction lately, so I wanted to stock up. 📚💗

Did you know the library has a used books section where most of the books are just two or three dollars?!?! I’m happy to give to the library to support getting more books into more peoples’ hands. These books will soon make their way into our library.

👋 Saturday morning shelf check 📚☀️

👀 The adult section of our little library is loaded with treasures right now! There’s a mix of cozy, emotional, suspenseful, and a couple of “read in one sitting” kind of books.

Whether you’re in the mood for something heartfelt, beautifully bittersweet, or something a little lighter or quietly charming or magical realism - there’s something inside for you! There’s also a selection of thrillers to keep you turning pages past bedtime.

As always: take a book, leave a book, or just come by for a little moment of quiet curiosity 💛📚

💗📚As Little Free Libraries continue to pop up in Orléans, so too does creativity! A mobile book wagon will be coming to a park near you!!!

It’s happening! Thank you for your patience as I sort through all the donations and figure out this social media thing 🤔.

Our little book wagon will be at Fallingbrook Park on Deancourt Crescent on Saturday, May 30, from 2-3pm.

How it works: Bring your kids to pick a book from our little book wagon. 📚 If you have any kids’ books you would like to donate, bring them along too! Then stay and play at the park if you like! 🛝 Hopefully we can spread a love of reading, outdoor play, and community this summer through our Little Book Wagon. We will have English and French books geared from babies to about age 9. ♥️

Rain date will by May 31, 3:30-4:30pm. Please monitor social media for any last minute cancellations.

We swung by the Mutchmor Book Sale this evening at Mutchmor Public School in the Glebe and scooped up some treasures for our . 💗📚 The things that disappear quickest from our library are contemporary fiction, early readers and popular fiction for the middle elementary grades.

This event is run by volunteers and it is incredible how many books they have to choose from! If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, consider swinging by and supporting this school!

Gorgeous afternoon to refresh the books in our ! ☀️🪻
Wonderful selections of titles available for your spring reading. I also found some more magnetic bookmarks that Mrs.Jenn’s Creations kindly donated last summer that were tucked away with some books. No doubt these will make some lucky readers happy! 📚📖

Another Little Free Library is opening up in our neighbourhood!!! 💗📚 Congratulations Paradise Little Library !

Please help share the news! We will be opening this Saturday, April 18th, from 10am -2pm (weather permitting). We will have extra boxes of books outside on our driveway for kids, teens, and adults. We also have a TON of reading buddies - all for free! We hope you can make it!
