What an incredible day at the 2026 Walk for Alzheimer's!
Our hearts are so full after seeing so many wonderful families, friends, supporters, and community members come together to raise awareness, spread love, and support those affected by dementia and Alzheimer's in Dufferin County.
There were smiles everywhere, stories shared, memories honoured, and a sense of community that was truly inspiring.
This was our biggest walk yet with the most participants we've ever had and the most funds ever raised in support of the Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County.
To our sponsors, donors, volunteers, community partners, families, and friends who showed up and supported us every step of the way thank you. We simply couldn't do this without you.

What an incredible day!

Our 2026 Walk for Alzheimer’s has come to an end, and it exceeded our expectations in every way.

We are thrilled to share that we welcomed more than double the number of walkers compared to previous years and raised the highest amount of funds in the history of our walk. This is an extraordinary accomplishment for our community and a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when people come together for a cause that touches so many lives.

Every registration, donation, sponsorship, volunteer hour, and step taken today will help ensure that individuals and families in Dufferin County living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease continue to receive the support, education, programs, and services they need.

To everyone who walked, fundraised, volunteered, sponsored, donated, and cheered us on thank you. Your support means more than words can express.

From all of us at the Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this our most successful Walk for Alzheimer’s yet. Together, we are making a difference. 💙

A huge thank you to the Ropers and Stanleys for an incredible 2nd Annual Roper Romp in support of the Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County!

Today was filled with laughter, community, connection, and plenty of fun all while raising funds and awareness for local individuals and families living with dementia.

We were proud to have our Executive Director, Teresa Waldner, and Walk Ambassador, Councillor Joe Andrews, and chair of our board Nancy Frater representing us at today’s event.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, and helped make this fundraiser such a success. Your support truly makes a difference!
