Privately owned e-scooters are not permitted to operate on Alberta roadways. While it may seem like a convenient place to ride, doing so could have serious legal and financial consequences.
If an e-scooter is involved in a collision whether with a motor vehicle, pedestrian, cyclist, or property the rider may be held civilly liable for damages, even if they believe they were not entirely at fault.
The safest ride is one that starts with knowing the rules.
Ride smart. Ride responsibly. Know before you roll.
