Canadian Red Angus Promotion Society

Canadian Red Angus Promotion Society Together, they formed a society to specifically promote the Red color of the Angus breed.

The Canadian Red Angus Promotion Society was formed in September 1972 by a group of 12 like-minded Red Angus beef cattle breeders from Alberta and Saskatchewan. Today a membership of 275 beef breeders across Canada are represented by this national society. We work together with the Canadian Angus Association and other breed associations in Canada. In order to help promote Red Angus breed of cattle

, the Canadian Red Angus Promotional Society coordinates annual sales and events such as Red Roundup, and the Red Angus Summer Tour, both very popular events among purebred and commercial Red cattle breeders alike. The Society now has a strong influence in nationwide advertising, breed shows, and also encourages young cattlemen and women through 4H bursaries and awards and junior breeder incentives.

Our sympathy to the Schmaltz family on the loss of Peter. Along time Red Angus Producer, Beiseker Red Angus. They bred Red Angus for 50 years and were members of the Canadian Red Promotional Society.

CONGRATULATIONS ALAYNA.
Well Done with the Heifer purchased from Red Roundup

Back in December 2025 at the Red Roundup Show and Sale in Olds Alayna was the only junior to purchase a heifer so by default she won free entry to the Cody Sibbald Legacy Classic show this past weekend.
Alayna received Reserve Grand Champion Red Angus Female with her ELF Yazmin heifer. Alayna so placed in the peewee showmanship and made it into the championship drive in the pouring rain.

Big shoutout to the Sibbald family and crew for putting an event like this together. It truly take a team ♥️

Sophie and Heidi ventured out to the Northwest Regional 4H Heifer Show last weekend

Sophie exhibited Red Rafter SJ Covergirl 49N, purchased at the Red Roundup sale, and Heidi showed her Red Six Mile GGA Redeem 122N purchased from the Six Mile Ranch Fall Female Sale.

Sophie placed first in her split advancing to the Purebred Heifer Final, Heidi received the honor of Reserve Champion Purebred Heifer. Be proud of the hard work and dedication you put into these females.
