Just a reminder, this class is open to anyone in the community. Come along and learn a new crafts, enjoy a glass of wine and get to know some other like minded people.
Please remember we need approx 20 people to make the numbers work for the class provider.

On Tuesday 12th May, we held our Annual Awards Evening, to celebrate the students of our community who had been awarded Scholarships or Bursaries and also the younger students who had taken part in our Poster and Literary Competition, which is run in conjunction with our local schools. The standard as always was outstanding. Congratulations to all of you!

Apologies for the delay in posting this.

Dinner for the Dog.

On April 25th, 2026 a Gala was held to raise money to supply a service dog to a Veteran. There was a Silent Auction and one of the items being auctioned was this spectacular cake made by Madi from The Sweet Spot
That evening I was approached by Jess Hood who had won the auction for the cake and she asked if she could donate it to the Legion. I gratefully accepted on behalf of the Branch and on May 5th Jess brought it to the Legion Meet and Greet that we were holding. The cake was delicious and went down a storm with all of the veterans and legion member who were in attendance.

On behalf of the Branch, thank you Jess for your kind donation, we loved it.

MEET & GREET INVITATION - Tuesday 5th May 2026 at 6.00pm

Branch 291 (Okotoks) would like to extend an invitation to a Meet & Greet at the Elks Hall (details below). We’d also like to get to know our members! If you know someone (Veteran or non-Veteran) that is interested in being involved please let them know too. Members of the executive will be available to provide information with respect to any needs or questions you may have. (i.e., contact with Veterans Affairs etc.).
Tuesday evenings are our games evenings and we encourage you to stay and enjoy some refreshments.
If you have a uniform please wear it.

The bar will be open, concession is open and wings are on special at $7.00

We held a Veterans dinner on Saturday at the Crystal Ridge Golf Club, thank you to the team there for their help. Also Okotoks Flowers for the donation of the Rose for the fallen table. A very enjoyable evening was had by all!
